- We will also aim to get as many of your bills sent electronically.
- Fusion bookkeepers then upload the documents into the accounting software and files it online – 3 different places your financial documents are stored. Now that’s organised!
And that’s it! No more confusing systems of paperwork filed in various locations or folders, or faded receipts sitting in a filing cabinet.
Your accountant and bookkeeper now have access to documents relating to every single business expense. This ensures every transaction is accounted for and allocated correctly.
But do the ATO let you store documents electronically?
Yes! The ATO website states that ‘Documents you are required to keep can be in written or electronic form.’
Your accounting software automatically backs up your data but Fusion Bookkeeping also backs up a selection of financial reports every month for your piece of mind.
You can discard your paperwork if you wish or file what little paperwork you have (because remember most of your documents are electronic now).
